Prathiba Reddy "A few years ago my husband and I decided to try ballroom dancing. Having lived a largely sedentary lifestyle, I initially had a lot of trouble coordinating my footwork and maintaining the tiring posture that ballroom dance requires. Nonetheless, I gradually began to overcome these difficulties and started making steady progress as a result of regular lessons. I developed a passion for dancing and started competing at an amateur level. However, my lack of physical activity earlier in my life made it difficult and wearisome for me to improve my dancing— I realized my lack of strength was a big handicap. At the suggestion of a friend, I decided to try working out with Holly. After just nine months, the progress I have made has been tremendous. The strength I have gained has not only taken my dancing to the next level, but has made a positive impact in my other activities— my yoga poses look much better and thanks to Holly, I can finally generate more pace on the tennis ball. Put simply, Holly’s approach to exercising works. She customizes each session to my needs, tailoring my workouts and changing the routines based on how I feel on a particular day. In this way, I get the maximum benefit from each movement. To help me achieve my goals, she goes beyond just helping me out in the gym: she goes the extra mile and takes the time to watch me dance at shows and competitions, analyzing my movements and identifying my weaknesses. Each session, she targets and drills one muscle group to improve my strength and flexibility in that area while exercising my whole body. My overall posture has improved, and I now possess a grace and fluidity in dance that I attribute to my increased strength. I always used to avoid working out because I thought it was boring and monotonous. Holly has proved me wrong. She makes the workouts both challenging and fun, keeping them interesting by varying the combinations and routines constantly. I know that I would never have been able to get the same results on my own. Now at 46, I have never felt better in my life—I feel healthier, my energy level is higher, and I sleep better. I wish I had found Holly sooner—she is helpful, fun, and patient." |
